OLIVIA EXSTRUM

I am an award-winning writer, fact-checker, and copy editor based in Colorado. I graduated in June 2017 from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University with a major in journalism and a minor in political science. I spent two years after college in journalism, and am now pursuing a career in research, editing, and/or marketing.
I worked as a reporter at Mother Jones magazine in San Francisco from December 2017 to May 2019. In July 2019, I moved to southwestern Colorado to be closer to family. During this time and through the pandemic, I worked for a community bank in a variety of roles. I also worked part-time at a restaurant and a bookstore and was a freelance fact-checker.
I am currently seeking job opportunities in research, fact-checking, copyediting, and marketing. Feel free to check out my work and contact me if you have any questions.
